Single sided flyer and Position Paper #1 published by The Architect's Resistance, a group of US based "architects, architecture students, planners and draftsmen who believe that architecture, like other professions, is not an end in itself, but part of a political process, a process that should grant all people the right to control their own lives and be governed by human values, not material ones." The flyer, printed on March 21, 1969 calls for the firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill [ SOM ] to end their collaboration with and profiting from the racist Apartheid government of South Africa and for the American Institute of Architects to publicly censure the firm and others that work in Apartheid South Africa.
