Geometric Mouse : Scale D (Paper),

description

Classic "Pop Art" multiple by the American king of the medium, Claes Oldenburg. Produced in 1971, the "Geometric Mouse: Scale D" is the baby among the Geometric Mice executed by Oldenburg. Following the Scale C (120 copies produced in anodized black aluminum); Scale B (18 copies produced in red painted steel), Scale A (6 copies produced in blue / yellow, black-and-white variants), and the massive Scale X (1 unique copy produced in red painted steel) -- the Scale D Mouse was intended to be the most populous of all Mice and produced in an "unlimited edition," however, only a single production of 3,000 were manufactured in 1971. Packaged as a consumer item, within plastic shrink-wrap, the Scale D Mice were intended to circulate within the stream of other commodities and infiltrate society much as household mice do. The Mice offered by Specific Object are in shrink-wrapped as issued.
