Bob Crane : He Got It Coming

description

Artist's book published and conceived by John Dogg [Richard Prince and Colin de Land]. Documents the sexual exploits of "Hogan's Heroes" actor Bob Crane and his friend and ultimately Crane's murder John Henry Carpenter. The book employs the template of The Night I Lost My Baby : A Las Vegas Vignette, a poetic vignette by Mason Williams, designed by Edward Ruscha with photography by Patrick Blackwell, reflecting the road trip that yielded the images found in the artist's book Royal Road Test by the same trio. Illustrated with video stills by and of Crane and Carpenter.
