Joseph Beuys : Dernier Espace avec Introspecteur, 1964-1982

description

Exhibition catalogue published in conjunction with show held March - May 1982. Text and photographs by Caroline Tisdall. "Conceived in 1964, around the time of Beuys' first exhibition at the age of 43, "Irgend ein Strang', with which it shares a predilection for certain angles and images. Excecuted in Paris in January 1982. The title remains in French since the English 'last space with introspector' renders it too precise and flat. The last psace referred to is not to be interpreted as a personal statement about the artist's demise. It reflects a feeling about the world." -- book's preface. This book was produced in an edition of 2000 copies of which 500 were signed by the artist. Printed in black-and-white.
