Gangstar

Ferdinand Kriwet

description

Catalogue published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Ausstellung Galerie Niepel, Düsseldorf, September 10, 1965 - October 10, 1965. In an attempt to break consensus ideas concerning legitimized forms of literature, Kriwet composed a series of "sehtextes," or poem-paintings. These poem-paintings allow both artist and viewer to experience language and text in a manner separate from -- and perhaps just as important as -- the physical book. Includes numerous black-and-white illustrations, as well as parallel texts by the artist in English, German and French.
