A clever "instructional" book on how to initiate and incorporate performance art in everyday life. Some are simple -- the exercised entitled "Fairy Tales" encourages the reader to "gather friends who want to perform," then "act out a fairy tale by making a version which mirrors your daily life" -- while some are humorously absurd. For instance, "Spiritual Roots" suggests living out a "3 year re-enactment of the life of Teresa of Avila" as a means of directly experiencing a relic of one's religious past. Printed at the Women's Studio Workshop and funded in part by an Artists-in-Residence grant from The New York State Council on the Arts.
