Sex

description

Informational pamphlet about human sexuality published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in [1972] and modified from a Planned Parenthood manuscript intended for students and employees. Edited by Mona Berch, R.N. Includes a loosly slipped-in introduction printed on M.I.T. letterhead by Carola B. Eisenberg, Dean for Student Affairs. Cover art by Marian Kadushin.

"Two years ago, a group of interested students and staff organized a series of lectures on human sexuality for the M.I.T. Community. In an effort to present the essence of the information communicated by the speakers, an editorial committee undertook to prepare a pamphlet, modified from a Planned Parenthood manuscript for distribution to students and employees.

We owe gratitude to the small group of dedicated volunteers under the leadership of Mona Berch who made this possible. We are pleased to provide you with a copy for your own use.

Sex is a part of life. A part, which particularly during late adolescence and early adulthood, takes on special importance for human happiness and unfortunately for some, human unhappiness. This booklet makes no pretense at completeness. However, it does serve as a factual introduction to human sexuality.

It attempts to provide answers to commonly asked questions. We hope it will encourage further discussion and further reading." -- from slipped-in letter
