A translated reprint of an interview between Martin Kippenberger and Ariane Müller, that was orginally published in ARTFAN. "This interview with Martin Kippenberger was done in 1991, over several days at various locaitons, primarily, however, at Thomasburg Castle, Martin Prinzhorn's ruins in Burgenland. I was the co-publisher of the Viennese art magazine ARTFAN. Martin Kippenberger had seen our poster in the city and was interested in getting to know us and I wanted to interview him. He had just begun to develop the interview as a form of creating 'a decent Kippenberger.' "I share myself' - and this he did in various ways..." -- from book's editor note. Translated by Micha Magee. "Before this interview, I thought Ariane Müller was difficult to translate. Martin Kippenberger, in comparison, is pretty much impossible. He has his own made-up language, deeply imbedded in German and Garman culture, which uses German words and parts of words to rework their orginal meaning and produce - by association and cecombination - a second layer of images, moods, nostalgias and evaluations..." from book's translator's note.
