Picture Post Card Posted from Post Box Pictured

Specific Object and Jonathan Monk are pleased to announce the publication of the twentieth "Picture Post Card Posted from Post Box Pictured,” the latest addition to his ongoing series. For this iteration of his mail art project Monk has chosen an image of the postbox around the corner his mother’s house in the village where the artist grew up, just outside of Leicester, England.

Condition:  Fair / Good. 2.8 cm. dog-ear to bottom left corner, 9.5 cm. crease near left edge and rippling along upper edge. Clear tape wraps around the top left (2.7 cm. on recto) and right (3.7 cm. on recto) corners, wrapping around recto to upper left corner of verso (3 cm. and 2.9 cm.) and to upper right corner of verso (5 cm. and 2.7 cm.). Year, "1979," written in blue ink on recto. Year "79" written in blue ink on verso above three large purple check marks.
